About Winco

Founded in 1935, St. Louis based Winco Window is both a pioneer and an innovator in architectural and heavy commercial aluminum windows sold across the U.S.
Markets served: K-12 schools, colleges and universities, high-rise commercial and institutional buildings including major governmental buildings. Government approved historical renovation work and bomb-blast-resistant windows for high-security buildings are Winco specialties.
Products by Winco: Fixed 2", 3-1/4", 4" and 4-1/2" deep systems; projected, casement and drop-head in-swing: 2', 3-1/4", 3-1/2" and 4" deep systems; double hung: 4" and 4-1/2"; single hung: 4" deep units; sliding windows: 4" and 4-1/2" deep; window wall systems that can combine all of these product types in thermal and non-thermal applications. Many include insulated glass units with integrated Venetian blinds.
A pioneer in the development of pour-and-debridge thermal break windows, Winco continues to redefine fenestration performance beyond thermal, demonstrating industry leadership in hurricane and, most recently tornado-rated windows to meet the most challenging weather conditions. Noise-reducing acoustical windows with elevated STC ratings are a capability in growing demand.
Recognizing the reality of man-made terrorism threats to buildings and human lives, Winco is today a leader in blast mitigation windows. In-house performance testing is another distinguishing strength of the company, as are flexibility for small and large jobs, as well as expedited manufacturing and delivery.

Winco's multifaceted engineering department works closely with architects and installers. Computerized estimating, shop drawings, detailing, fabrication, shop data, layouts and order tracking are smoothly synchronized to optimize workflow. Vertically integrated production, including finishing, glass cutting, performance testing and quality inspection -- all contribute to customer comfort.

Sister company, Architectural Metals Inc., provides Winco and other companies quality anodized finishing. AMI also offers customers many painting and metal forming options. High-performance Kynar paint is available in a wide range of colors.

Architectural Glass Products, another Winco subsidiary, provides in-plant glass and certified IG fabrication using a high-precision processing optimizer that cuts glass with tolerances of .015. Winco offers both sheet and liquid process interlayer with glass fabrication as needed to produce advanced tempered laminated glass. Gas-filled low-e units maximize thermal efficiency.

Winco is a charter member of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association. Gantt Miller, Winco Chairman of the Board, was 2008-9 Chairman of AAMA, and continues to serve on the Association Board of Directors. Products are tested to meet or exceed AAMA standards for Heavy Commercial (HC) and Architectural Window (AW) ratings. Some windows meet Dade County hurricane standards and the new AAMA standard for tornado windows. Others meet bomb blast protection standards as defined by the U.S. Department of Defense.
