Hotel Chaco is a celebration of the people and history of Chaco Canyon, once the cultural epicenter of the Pueblo civilization. Every detail of the project, from Navajo wool to bronze metalwork to the offset stone masonry, is a modern interpretation of the native culture that thrived in the Albuquerque region between 900-1500 AD.

But you're hardly roughing it when you stay at Hotel Chaco. Designed by the internationally acclaimed architectural firm Gensler, the boutique hotel is an ancient inspiration with the dressings of a luxury spa resort.

"One of the most significant challenges on this project was finding products that can endure the extreme climate shifts that blow through this region," says Gerry Cooper, Winco's sales representative.

Winco came prepared for the weather. Our team installed bronze Winco Terrace Doors and sidelights on each guest room's outdoor balcony. By reducing the amount of aluminum required to maintain the structural integrity of the door, Winco's framing system and UV resistant finish blends well with the hotel's emphasis on energy efficient technology.

"Winco doors keep it tight," says Cooper. "With so many guests opening and closing these doors, we needed a solid door that can handle the dust, heat, snow and cold while flowing nicely with the Native American aesthetic. We are pleased with the outcome."
