Winco Window Co. in St. Louis, Mo., has introduced the Transira Prime Window Solutions to help resolve common problems faced by hospitals and clinics in controlling the spread of viruses. The windows encase a vertical shade within an insulating glass unit to help prevent allergens and airborne pathogens from clinging to the fabric. The window system can be locally controlled and simultaneously tied into the overall building management system, allowing healthcare workers and patients to control visibility, light and solar heat entering a room at the touch of a button.
