Brad Barnes

Engineering Technician

As one of the fourth-generation family members, Brad Barnes knows his way around the window business. He started working at the family business during summers, while in high school. By the time he graduated from college, Winco had expanded into other buildings, and Brad’s skills grew with the business—moving from the manufacturing floor to engineering.

Brad has witnessed some major developments in the window industry. The company first started with glass block ventilators. As Winco moved into manufacturing aluminum windows, the primary market was elementary and high schools. Soon the company expanded to windows that fit specific needs for hospitals, universities, technical training schools, government buildings, police and emergency services facilities, as well as the commercial needs of manufacturing and office space to retail and hospitality.

Brad credits Winco’s ability to adapt window design to meet specific requirement in simple terms—Winco reconfigures standard window components into customized units beneficial to the customer’s needs. So far, it’s been a pretty successful business model!

Brad lives in St. Louis with wife Jennifer and has 3 adult children, Elliott, Adam and Emma. When he is not working, Brad enjoys hunting, fishing and volunteering with various Veteran organizations.
