Project Details
On the shore of picturesque Geneva Lake, Wisconsin sits the glamorous and historic Riviera building, which has played host to hundreds of entertainment legends including Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole. The property was listed on the National Historic Registry in 1986. But time has taken a toll on the Riviera which was built in 1932.
Age and coastal exposure have wrought extensive roof damage, water infiltration around the windows, and deteriorated masonry. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems have become outdated as well. The City of Lake Geneva planned a major renovation, including replacing the leaking windows. The goal was to retain the building’s historical aesthetic while upgrading and modernizing the envelope, windows, and systems to keep the Riviera thriving for future generations.
The Solution
WINCO’s 3250 Steel Replica windows were a natural choice for the window replacement on the building’s upper level. The grids with their 70% Kynar bone white finish matches the original look and adheres to guidelines set by the Wisconsin Historical Society. The 3250 Steel Replica windows provide a thin architectural profile, allowing expansive views of Geneva Lake. An added bonus, the windows are high-performance, standing upwind and weather!
