History Repeats Itself with Winco’s Historic Steel Replica Windows
Located at the center of Asheville, North Carolina’s thriving arts district, the Radical Hotel is a stunning example of adaptive reuse. The Radical is a former five-story warehouse built in 1923, but a century later, it’s a boutique inn with wildly creative and unique spaces. Despite its eclectic interiors, the owners wanted to ensure the façade maintained its historic heritage. Winco craftsmen worked with the local preservation board to design historically accurate custom windows. They modeled the new windows after a small bank of original windows that were still in relatively good condition. Winco seamlessly replicated the look of the original windows with its classic 3250 Steel Replica windows. No detail was too small – Winco crafted false vents to match the original windows and even provided sample windows to ensure the historic match was ideal.
