Andre Ivy

Andre Ivy began his Winco career in Winco’s shipping department. He had a great manager who took Andre under his wing and taught him every detail about the department.  Andre became his successor, and he has been managing the shipping department for the last ten years.

Andre appreciates that Winco is a family owned and operated company in which the family members are available to him and open to new ideas for improving how windows are shipped. One of Andre’s inventive recommendations involves taking photographs of the loads once packed and then again as delivered as a quality control measure.

Andre is the gatekeeper to Winco’s freight—all freight companies must go through him. He’s aware of what is going out, when and where, and helps his team ensure that the product is delivered with the same care that goes into making and transporting it.

Andre grew up in St. Louis. Prior to joining Winco, Andre worked at AT&T and Schnuck’s Meat Distribution Warehouse.

 He attended high school here, where he played basketball and continued to play for Oklahoma State, while obtaining a degree in marketing. 

Andre played professional basketball in Italy for several years and loves sports to this day.  He loves to attend any sporting event he can, especially those coached by his daughter, who is high school coach and alum of St. Louis’ prestigious John Burroughs School. 

Andre resides in St. Louis, with his wife.  They have a son and a daughter.
