New Windows Provide Energy Efficiency and More Sunlight
An energy package upgrade for the Adair County Courthouse in Kirksville, Missouri, included new windows from WINCO Window Company. Although the windows were not original from when the courthouse opened in 1898, they were very old, outdated, and non-thermally broken. WINCO supplied 1450S fixed, casement and 4410S single hung windows with 1” Gray Vision Glass tempered with SB60#3 along with some 1” Gray Obscure glass and 1.5” Stucco embossed Dark Bronze panels and medium bronze anodize trim.
The new windows are thermally broken and energy efficient. WINCO wrapped and panned over the old window frames from the original replacement and used spandrel glass to modify the look and allow more daylight to flow in. Because some of the windows required radius and elliptical templates, several field verifications ensured that they were made correctly and fit perfectly.
