Solar Protection with Panache
A combination of more than 156 of WINCO’s 3410 and 1450 Series windows were used for a dual school renovation in the historic Kensington/Normal heights neighborhoods of San Diego. Designed for large openings and wide expanses of glass, WINCO’s windows complement the design of Adams Elementary and San Diego Global Visions Academy (SDGVA). Many of the new windows overlook a shared play yard and green space between the two elementary schools.
Along with ventilation, ease of use, and clear sightlines of school grounds, the new windows feature color variations of green and blue, inspired by the earth, oceans, and sky of sunny San Diego.
