Project Details

Our Psychiatric Windows let the sunshine in, or with our adjustable, integrated blinds option be reduced or shut out for a quiet, comforting environment. Yes, they may look like ordinary windows, but they're built tough to protect patients and property. Within a non-institutionalized looking framing system, our Psychiatric Windows feature aesthetic hallmarks of traditional windows:

  • dual or triple glazing
  • impact and mar-resistant polycarbonate or laminated glass
  • dual weather-stripping
  • concealed hinges
  • redundant locking mechanism
  • flush hardware and sash

Winco’s 8800 series psychiatric window is designed with a 4” deep main frame that is thermally broken with 1/8” nominal wall thickness. Available with human impact ratings of 1,500 ft. lbs., 1,800 ft. lbs. and 2,000 ft. lbs. The combination of energy efficiency with life safety features to protect patients makes this window an ideal solution to your psychiatric needs. With a custom combination sub-frame, snap-trim for ease of installation and a wide variety of exterior trim choices to give your project a custom look.
