Keeping Sugarloaf School Safe and Sound
Florida Keys School Receives Level E Glazing Protection
Sugarloaf School is a public school located in Summerland Key, a rural setting in the lower Florida Keys. Serving approximately 571 students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, the school campus has multiple two-level buildings designed to withstand tropical weather with high winds and flying debris.
This Atlantic Ocean island location necessitated WINCO’s 3250 Steel Replica windows with Level E missile impact glazing and hurricane-resistant steel replica framing to handle the harshest elements of a coastal property. WINCO’s windows were installed in Building 2 during its renovation, as well as the new two-story 35,000 SF Building 7. Along with providing the best weather protection, the 3250 Steel Replica windows provide operability, energy efficiency, and solar control.
